new dress time! made from a 40's pattern
the pattern had the option of long or little cupped selves, i did make the selves and the strange double yoke, but the effect looked tacky.I am sure that was due to the pattern on the fabric not quite matching the design. I got the fabric on a chuck out for really cheep!
i did want to make it in a floral green but the ideal fabric although beautiful was out of my price range.

(its not quite done in this picture hence the safety pins. i need to make a new petticoat as well)

the whole thing is pleated, that took me a few goes on practice fabric to get right. the pleats sort of go against the grain and become wobbly and curly if not absolutely center :S. so one of the pleats is terrible but I'm hoping that will be un noticed.....

ok so i finally got to go see the new moon saga last night.
over all the movie was grate and was a definite up grade to the first.

1. The first shot of what i believe to be as same in wolf form was not up to par with some of the computer graphics of the time, the lycans in underworld were more realistic and that was made in what 2003? the wolves got better from this point when they were running, perhaps they shouldn't do to many close ups in the next film?

2. The portrayal of where Bella starts to see Edward when he's not there was really well done! The brooding vampire was more ink then ghost, not unlike the people in the memories of harry potter. The ghost Edward also seemed to be avoiding eye contact which was interesting. Oh and did the room erupt when the now filled out and rather sexy Jacob took of his shirt!!!!! The girls squealed and made appreciated “arrs “ and ‘’oooo’s” as the men seamed to sink lower in the their chairs not wanting to be used on comparison.

3. The story line changed in places and the most obvious of these was in the chamber scene with the Volturi, Marcus, Aro, and Caius. Edward was thrown around quite a bit at this point even cracking his chiselled face. I understand why they felt the need to make such a detour from the book, the movie doesn’t seam to portray the Volturi as powerful just a few vampires in a room the fast paces fight brought the fear that was needed to those who haven’t bothered to read the book.

4. The original Cullen’s have been altered in this film. All appear to be wearing to much make up and the difference in the skin colour in the first film are alarming.
The lovely rose is drowning in her fake eye’s and to overpowering lipstick, the first move was praised with not going with the stereotyped vampires but the table has changed. Both Alice and jasper seamed to be more like glorified dolls then the original pear, jasper i am glad to say was left alone remaining slightly darker skinned then the rest. I’m not sure if this new look was meant to make the quilutes seam extremely tanned or they just let the makeup artist have a little to much fun.
5. The movie did have a few laughs, a few quick jokes to break up the normally ‘’emo” atmosphere. We did get some teenage boys in our session that were clearly dragged along by their girlfriends. At an most lovely peace were Edward proposes to Bella the boys apparently thought this to sappy and loudle objected. Perhaps they fear the idea of mage seeping in the girls heads?
So all up the movie was great not as good as the book but still a winner!

Shoes!

Every girl has that pair of shoes they love and were with everything. So I decided it was hi time I got a pair that I liked. I’m not a big shoe girl after all they only go on your feet!
I have been looking around and the only type I have liked are converse weather it's advertising or media hype I don’t know, but they are really to expensive to justify getting. i was going to settle with the boring every day street shoe when I came across some custom shoes on deviantart.com
it’s a great idea! You just get a pair of $10 canvas shoes and paint them to make them unique! Here is my first try and custom shoes! ( there not quite done)

This morning i opened the door the let Joshua in and found that he had died. Some one knowing that he was ours left him in a towel in a box at the front door.

Joshua came to us as a kitten along with his brother Calab. They were cute kittens no doubt about that. Josh has led a quiet yet eventful life more of it been half tame half wild. Over tree moves he has stayed with us, always taking off for a week or so but he never failed to return. HE brought as various parts of his nights kill to share, the worst of which was an entire rabbits head ( needless to say wen i found him with it he was purring, in thinking he had given us a lovely gift)Over the last two years however Josh had gotten old and with that came a change of heart, sure he would still occasionally bite mums head, but he became nicer. yesterday he spent most of the day sitting next to me on the computer and occasionally having a go at my lunch.

these are the only photos i found of him (camera shy) and i don't know if the one with bytha is even josh\

hmm my cat has just found my paint brush, (which by the way was in a water cup)
he seam to have the assumption that the paint brushes need to be chewed and attacked then left around the house for me to tread on.

any way it has been a busy week Andrew turned 19 on Sunday :)

and i have order to make 5 shirts for a ski group going to new Zealand. Unfortunately it will be a rush job as they want them buy the end of the week and only asked me today. oh well it will be fun regardless.
